Rowley & Hawkins Fruit Farms
“Growing Great Fruit to Grow Great Families”
Farm Fresh and local since 1981
Rowley and Hawkins Fruit Farms is family owned and operated. We grow a variety of fruits and vegetables. Our main crop is tart cherries, but we also grow several varieties of apples, sweet cherries, peaches, apricots, raspberries, blackberries, asparagus and some grapes, pears and plums. We stay busy year round with so many different types of fruit. May through September is our busiest time of the year with all of the harvesting. The first crop of the year is asparagus, then sweet cherries, and apricots before our main crop, tart cherries in July. These are closely followed by berries and peaches before we end with apples, pears, and grapes in the late summer and fall. Check out our calendar to see when each variety is ready for sale. We employ 10-15 people year-round to help us take care of our orchards, and many of our friends and family come in the summer months to help us in the harvest.
Rowley and Hawkins also has a certified UV-treated apple juice pressing and filling line. UV light treatment is an alternative process to pasteurization, and maintains the natural flavor of the juice while still killing the bacteria that may be present. This line creates our delicious apple and cherry apple cider that is sold locally and across the state.
In order to maintain the highest quality and provide the best fruit from bloom to your dining room, we have built a new cooler to lock in the fruit’s natural freshness, increasing durability and longevity of all of our fruit products. We also have a refrigerated box truck we use for larger deliveries. We are committed to helping your family enjoy the best fruit in the world.
